Andre comes from a broad background of research, academia, and government experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, former Presidential Management Fellow, lead software development in support of national cyber mission, holds dozens of publications and book chapters in the field of cyber and hardware security, presents regularly at scholarly venues, is an avid believer in energy revolution, Army Cyber Operations Officer, and so much more. Andre was recently selected as a Cybersecurity Department Chair with the American Public University System in SSGS. He is working diligently to grow in his role, manage faculty success, and ensure that Cybersecurity Department maintains high and rigorous academic standards. His goal is to lead the APUS Cybersecurity Department to become one of the national leaders in this field. His vision for the cybersecurity program is to facilitate technical training in the cyber defense and offense, enable testing of the cyber policies, and to influence a new generation of tech-savvy cyber enthusiasts. He is a firm believer in lifelong learning and encourages all his students to always learn, read, pursue Doctoral studies, and beyond. Andre is raising two amazing daughters with the love of his life. He comes from very humble beginnings in Eastern Europe and is thankful for all the opportunities, challenges, shortfalls, and successes in his life.
